Dixie is pet of the week at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. She’s a 9 year old, 16 pound, female, Beagle / Chihuahua mix.

Dixie is a Sassy Senior that doesn’t show her age or let is slow her down. She’s a very active little dog, but it wouldn’t hurt her to lose a pound or two. She and her new owner might want to start a diet and exercise program together. It will help her shed the unwanted weight and it will be a great bonding experience for both.

Dixie was rescued from her life as a stray dog in Victorville. She went into a private rescue where she had regular socialization with the other dogs and daily one-on-one time with the lady who operates the rescue. She was transferred to your Rancho Coastal Humane Society through the Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS) program.
